Alaska Cruise & Canadian Rockies
Description
Alaska is a vast and sparsely populated state located in the northwest corner of the North American continent, bordered by Canada to the east and the Arctic and Pacific Oceans to the north and south, respectively. It is the largest state in the United States, with a diverse landscape that includes glaciers, mountains, forests, rivers, lakes, and tundra. The state is home to numerous national parks and protected wilderness areas, including Denali National Park, Glacier Bay National Park, and Kenai Fjords National Park.
The Canadian Rockies are a stunning mountain range that runs through the western provinces of Canada, including British Columbia and Alberta. The range is a part of the larger Rocky Mountains, which stretch from New Mexico in the United States to British Columbia in Canada. The Canadian Rockies are known for their jagged peaks, pristine alpine lakes, glaciers, and abundant wildlife, including grizzly bears, elk, and mountain goats. The region is also home to several popular ski resorts, such as Banff and Whistler, and is a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy hiking, camping, and mountaineering.

Peyto Lake is a popular spot for visitors. Significant amounts of glacial rock flour were deposited into Peyto Lake from a nearby glacier. These suspended rock particles, sometimes called glacial milk, give the lake a uniquely bright blue-green color. Finally, see Canada's "Diamond in the Wilderness," Lake Louise.

Travel along the Icefields Parkway toward Jasper National Park, the largest national park in the Canadian Rockies. En route, stop to experience the Athabasca Glacier, the most visited glacier in North America. Travel to the Columbia Icefield and ride the Brewster Ice Explorer to the surface of the Glacier. Be amazed by the icefield as you take in the views and feel the crunch of the ancient glacier underfoot. You'll also have the opportunity to join one our most exciting optional tours.
